Registry?

Registry?

So i started a small registry online at target and BBB in like august.. we had planned on having some things ready for our eparty.. but didnt get a chance to go to the store and look at the stuff we picked out.. so since we never got our crap together we just opted not to put our registry info out yet. So now me and FH have been browsing through again and adding some things here and there. my mom said some family members may want to get us some things for christmas.. so we should have some things together..
my question now is(after all that..lmao).. my girlfriend started her registry online and then went to the store to complete it(same 2 stores).. but had some problems with all the stuff showing up correctly, has anyone else had a problem when starting thiers online first???
TIA

becareful with the target registry they do not have a good return policy...there has been some post on here about it maybe you can llook back at them before you pick the store....

look into macys or fortuneoff or crateandbarrell....and BBB has an amazing return policy

just remember wehn you register online...not everything online can be purchased in stores! you might want to go to an actualy store to add some things to make sure people can get it. I work at BBB and i have so many people come in and are pissed that alot of items could only be purchased online...they have to pay shipping for that.

They fixed it eventually, but when she registered in store.. it didn't show up on her registry when she checked it online. I think she had to call them a few times to have it fixed. It may have been a problem with the website.. the in store registry print out was fine.. but for my friends and family i know they all do a lot of online shopping..especially my older family members who don't get around so well anymore..so i was just curious to see if anyone else had a problem so i know what to expect.

For BBB it could have been listed differently.. i think the problem was more with the target registry if i remember correctly. But Even with all the bad return policies and other problems i still love target..lol they have a lot of stuff that i want..so i guess i'll suffer the wrath of problem registries and returns ..lmao.

see i think my FH would do better in the store probably.. when we're home i can't get him to focus on the computer long enough to pick something.. he just says he trusts my taste..lol. But i know in the long run if i picked everything on my own he'd complain about half of it..lol

Yeah thats what happened to my sister...we went shopping for a friends shower and she had to pay for the shipping...but I am gonna go back with the receipt and get the 20% off with the coupon b/c we didnt have one...so its like saving shipping...

We kind of did... We started our registry at Macy's online... then went into the store to add some more stuff (and get the freebies they give you!). They kept our same registry/registry # from online... but some of the stuff we added online was not available in the store. I would recommend sitting with an employee for a few mins (they were all super helpful & nice!). We registered at Macy's, BBB & Crate & Barrel and have had great experiences at all three so far. HTH

Re: Registry?

I did all three of my registries completely online. Macy's, BB&B, and Crate and Barrel. I only just went to BB&B and Macy's this past weekend to finish them up and I had no problems w/anything.

We originally had target and fortuneoff, but since we heard so many negative things about target's registry, we changed it to BBB. We started BBB online so we could transpose all the stuff from Target to BBB easily, but we still went to the store to see add other stuff, and to see if they would have things we liked more than what we originally had at target. At this point, I think we only have 3 things that are the same as they were on the target registry.

we registered online with bb&b first then just went to the store this past weekend to add stuff and see what we wanted to remove, we had nooo problem whatsoever. we just came back home and looked it over online to make sure it was correct

what the hell are the odds!!!

AND its the SAME WEEKEND, except this year!!! LOL

I did my entire registry online (both BBB and Macys) and had no problems at all!

Re: Registry?

I registered for Macy's and BBB online and we had no problems other than not getting our BBB welcome kit.

So we went into BBB for the welcome kit and because a friend mentioned me and said I'd be getting a $25 gift card for referring her... I never got it.. so we had to go into the store to check on it.

I found them to be SOOOOOO pushy here in NJ. Very, very nice, but super salesy - pushing china and other items on us that we didn't want.

I started my macy's one online and it was all the same stuff when i went to the stoer to add to it. Nothing was wrong. I also went to BBB but i didn't add anything online untill just recently and it was all ok. I would ask someone at the stoer to look at it and help you out then.

Re: Registry?

We opened BBB, Fortunoff and Macy's in person. Macys gives you a bunch of free stuff when you sign up (a tote bag, a magazine subscription, some other magazines, charts about bonuses) and I don't know if you get it if you sign up online.

I have added things or taken things off of all of the registries online with out a problem.

We started our Crate & Barrel registry online and again, no problems.

I have heard bad things about Target -- keep that in mind.

BBB has a great return policy, generally reasonable prices (as cheap or cheaper than anywhere else) and has the 20% off coupons. + they are everywhere. They take forever to ship and I've had multiple things come broken though...

Macy's is OK, they have a lot of sales, they have lots of stuff the other places don't but their prices fluctuate like crazy!

Crate & Barrel ships super fast, and packs things really well (none of our glassware has broken) but the only one in NY i believe is the one in the city. Their stock changes a lot (backorders and discontinued regularly, but big sales when they do) There are lots throughout the country though.

We closed our fortunoff registry since we have a lot of OOT guests and there is no fortunoff nearby, BBB had the same things for cheaper, and it was too hard for us to return things living out of state.

I'd reconsider Target unless there are tons of things you want to get there. Maybe use wedding $$$ to buy those yourself?
