Registry

Where did everyone register?
I am looking at BBB for sure but I don't know whether to do Macys or Fortunoff. Do any of you have their policies or opinions? Help i need to decide this weekend. Also did you guys take your FH or do it yourselves?

I registered at BBB, Macy's, Target, and Linens N Things.. of all the registries though BBB has the best one regarding returns.

I heard a few things about Fortunoff's and that they are in bankruptcy or something...quite a few ladies are closing out their Forutnoff's registries.

I originally registered for my fine china and crystal at Bloomingdales and then I ended up switching it over to Macys. They have much better sales and promos and if u have a macys credit card, you can recieve 5% back on every item that is purchased for you off your registry. It just gets credited to your card
I also did BBB for kitchen electrics and stuff like that and small ones at Crate and Barrel and Williams Sonoma just because FH and I LOVE those stores.

I took FH but that is because HE is the PITA and is not your typical male who doesnt care much bout these things. He has a distinct sort of taste and wants to be involved in every last detail...........which has its good points and its bad points

Question tho - Why do you HAVE to take FMIL with you as well?

FH & I went together to register at both Macy's and BB&B, we have more stuff registered at bbb but the china and things are on the macy's registry. (You can also do it all online...if that helps with your fmil situation at all)

because she doesn't have a daughter and sticks her butt into everything. She thinks her taste is the best and wont let me do what i want. Such a controlling person but she does it indirectly. I'm at the point where i want to say F Off.. She is the mother from Everyone Loves Raymond.

Why don't you take her to ONE store and let her give her two cents then don't use that store at all! You and FH do the real registry. Do you think she'll know the difference?

Really? I only registered at Macy's and Target but I don't feel like I've got everything. Plus I'm a little miffed that everything I liked at Target was 'Online only' purchases.

So, it wouldn't seem greedy if I added BBB to the list?

We did Macy's. So far everything has been great!

that's a great idea. your registry needs to be YOURS, not the one someone else wishes they had.

We registered at Macy's (LOVE the Star Rewards), Target and Williams Sonoma.

i registered at crate and barrel, BBB and fortunoff.

BBB has the best return policy. fortunoff was the only place that carried my china, and crate and barrel had my stemware

BBB I love there stuff
