Re: Registry

since im on ww, i could definately use a scale but i still dont and im fine...for someone not doing any kind of diet, i dont think it comes in handy all that much. and even if you were like i said, its not a necessity, ya know

kitchen towels...i have some now and dont really use them a whole lot because i always think that they smell, lol after one use but i should more (to save on paper towels).

Re: Registry

like others said, unless you are dieting or actually going to be weighing your portions, i don't think you need a kitchen scale.

as for dish towels you should get a bunch. we have about 15 currently. we did not register for anymore because my mom buys them for us all the time. after every holiday she picks up a bunch of discounted ones for as cheap as $0.50 each. FH & i use them all the time & save on paper towels.

like someone else said, they can smell after a little while so if you don't have easy access to a washing machine you may not want to even bother.

Re: Registry

I decided to do a honeymoon registry and after seeing some really awesome ones I'm excited to do it.

I also just did a William Sonoma one where I put a few things on it. I love WS and since it is expensive I hope people will just do the honeymoon one :) or give money which is basically what we'd be getting from the honeymoon registry.

Re: Registry

i didnt get one bc i would never use it. but if u'll use it, register for it! i registered for kitchen towels, i think like 4? we just went off of the HUGE checklists BBB and Macys gave us that day. we went around zapping things and crossing them off the list. i had previously gone thru them and crossed out things we didnt want to register for. HTH!

Re: Registry

When your registring take into account where you'll be living. You need A LOT less stuff if your living in an apt/co-op then a house.

The checklists they give you I used for reference only. I didn't register for 6 kitchen towels or some of the other crazy stuff lol.

Re: Registry

I don't even know what a food scale is used for lol.

Kitchen towels, maybe register for a few. Those are the types of things that other people and yourself will pick up as the months and years go by. Like for me, my mom and FMIL always pick cute ones up whenever they see them for the holidays or whatever.
