When should we start our registry and how many places should we register at? What are the normal places to register? Macy's and Crate and Barrel?

STD- should be out in 2 weeks Wedding- July 2011.

I registered at Macy's and BB&B. I thought BB&B was WAYYYYYYYY easier to register at.

You should definitely register before your Saves go out... Do you have a wedding website to give your guests the information or will they find out from word of mouth?
we haven't registered at Macy's we should but definitely BB&B was super easy!

We registered at BB&B about a month or so ago. Our e-party is this weekend and my mom wanted us to be registered in case some of the older generation wanted to get us a gift instead of $$$ (we are hoping for the $$$, of course, not to be bad).

We are registered at BB&B and C&B.
I would maybe set up a small registry somewhere in case when people receive your STD, they might want to buy you a gift (but don't send this info with the STD - tell your mom or someone who can pass along the info if some asks if you are registered anywhere).
As far as when to have the registry completed, it depends. Since I know my mother is throwing my shower for me, I asked her when she felt I should have it completed by and she told me end of Sept to be safe (my shower is a surprise).

We are getting married July 2011 as well. We registered at Brate and Barrel and just this past weekend Bed, Bath and Beyond. We had family asking about our registry so we did it early. They are not complete, but I love that I can add and edit online.
We might add Bloomingdales to our registry as well.

I'm getting married June 2011 and I'm registering at BBB and Williams-Sonoma.
I'm starting my registry after the new year because I want to wait for all the chaos from the holidays to die down plus I'm nervous that something I like will be discontinued.

I'm getting married in Feb and had the Registry done when the STD's went out in May. I kept checking it to make sure nothing was discontinued. We registered at BBB. Very easy to do and to keep up.

I registered in August because we were on vacay at home and went to the stores during the week when it was less crowded.

We already started our registries at Macys and myregistry.com. They are nowhere near complete, and we will go to Macys in person to add more stuff some time this month.
