i got it out of the way over the summer...no harm in doing it early...just have to keep checking to make sure nothing goes discontinued..

Well we got engaged Nov. 2009 and people were already asking by that Christmas!
MY FMIL and other family had kept asking so we decided to just go and do it! We went this past August...about 14 months before our wedding! I thought that was way too early, but honestly, when people ask you, its there.
Even if you don't register for everything you will need, at least it will be created and then you can edit and add and manage it online.
And we had so much fun doing it! So if you are in need of a little wedding stress buster....go take a day and do it, IMO! You never know...after all, Christmas is coming up and people might want to shop off your registry!

we were engaged in december, and registered in april (in time for our May engagement party). i still tweak it every now and again, and i still plan on adding a bunch of other stuff like luggage and bedding. i'll do that before the shower though.

We're not doing an engagement party, and I'm not having a shower - if I did do a registry (which not a lot of people would probably even use, since most will probalby just be cash)...So when should we do it, and does that assume people will bring the gift to the wedding, or mail it?
