Re: Registry

We just started ours last weekend. We went to BB&B and Bloomingdale's. Probably going to register at Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel too. We decided to register for a few things b/c our engagement party is in April.

I started mine 1 month after we got engaged. I'm finishing most of it up next week because I have off for Presidents week. It is not too early!

Re: Registry

I know this might sound like a dumb question, but what exactly should you register for, for an engagement party? and then for your shower?? FH and I currently live together and I can say I have everything I need for my home. Do you create a registry to get new stuff for your place/house??

We only registered for a a few items i.e. picture frames, vases, glasses, serving pieces for our China, every day dishes, fine & casual dining sets, bathroom set, bedroom comforter set.

This way if someone wants to give a gift, they can get something off of your registry, instead of just giving something random (that will probably wind up being returned).

We'll add more once the shower approaches and we're not going to use anything until we move into our place.

I already did mine, but we're having an engagement party in july so it wasn't too soon i don't think

Re: Registry

We registered for everything we could think of that we could possibly need for our future home since we are both still living with our parents.

If you have stuff and are wondering what to register for your engagement party - I would suggest toasting flutes, cake server and cutter set, vases, picture frames, candle sticks, etc,
