Registry

When is a good time to register? I am getting married next May and wondering when I should start. Also how many places should you register at? One or two?

im getting married next August - I think we are going to wait to do this until the winter, im figuring the shower wont be until spring and if i do it in the winter rather then now items are less likely to be discontinued

Are you having an engagement party? i'd register if you are having one. otherwise it's up to you. i just set ours up about a month ago (getting married after you are) and some people have bought us engagement gifts.

We started back in April for our eparty. So far we are just registered at Macys.

We registered in Feb/March for our April Engagement Party - we have to add more for the shower though. We're getting married next September so we'll probably start adding things in March again.

I don't think it's too soon...people may want to buy you engagement gifts. I'd try to register at more than one place so people have options. Have fun scanning!!!!!

We aren't having an engagement party, so I was planning on waiting so that things don't get discontinued. I was thinking of registering at bed bath and beyond and macys. Is it ok to register at two places or better to just do one?

I think registering at 2 places is good. It gives your guests more options. We haven't registered yet but I am thinking of Crate & Barrel and Macys.

Most people I know have done two...usually Macy's and Bed Bath and Beyond.

FH and I are doing BB&B. We were kind of hoping Home Depot had a registry, so we are letting people know we would like some giftcards to there.

Our plan is to set it up soon.

FH told me if I get bored tomorrow and we don't lose power, I can start setting up the registry :)

Also, you can do it as soon as you want - that way people also know what to get you for Christmas and your birthday :)

Getting married in May. I have a honeymoon registry and I did one small one with a store for the shower.

Just registered last week bc me and fh were on vacay. I agree good for birthdays and christmas. We registered at a few bc diff stores have diff sales. But we registred for same things. We did macys, bbb, and crate. Also put china on at bloomies also bc they have lots of sales.

We registered about a month after we got engaged. Mostly because family was asking because they wanted to buy us gifts. We registered at Macy's and BB&B. I noticed that the prices on Macy's seem to be more money but they have crazy sales where at BB&B you have those 20% off coupons.

So for example at Macy's the China we registered for is more money but so far it has been buy 1 get 1 free a few times plus 15% off. Such a great deal!

I am getting married next September and I just started our Macy's registry. I know I will also register at Crate and Barrel and probably BBB too. I started it online and only added a few things in the store at Macys. I will probably do the bulk of the registering during the winter. You can register whenever you are ready! Hope this helps!
