Try and make sure that if you register for china -the pattern has open stock-

also-make sure what you pick is not discontinued-I had to go back and change my everyday dishes

and HAVE FUN

take your time and make sure you don't add 'small' things that you can buy elsewhere cheaper.

I minimized my registry so that I would get everything that I wanted.

Sometimes if you have a lot of things, many of the 'packaged' items such as china will not be complete.

Make sure you let your Mom know so she can tell others that BBB will honor the coupons on Waterford items, and I think Vera Wang as well, even though it states it's excluded on it, and that most BB&B stores will honor ANY promotion that Fortunoff is doing (ie - free soup bowl with place setting purchase), they just have to ask.

Good luck and have fun!!!

We went Sat. to BB&B for our registry. Be prepared to spend at least 3 hours looking around and choosing. The lady I dealt with was great. Have fun!!!

Definitely register for a wide range of prices with your items...low, medium, and high if you want. Gives everyone options.

Great advice.

I also originally registered at Fortunoff and BBB, but a lot of my guests don't have access to Fortunoff or the internet, so I switched to Macy's and BBB.

Just keep in mind which store you want to put the 'expensive' things on and who would normally buy them for you.

ie: I know my Aunts and grandmother would buy me my china, so I put those on Macy's, so they can easily have access to it.

Everyday items I put on BBB

Re: Registry advice

Good points! I ended up splitting everything that was available at BB&B and Fortunoff (like 6 wine glasses on BB&B, then 6 on Fortunoff). Only Fortunoff carries the China we registered for, so I couldn't put that on BB&B.
