For those of you who registered before you had an e-party did you put it on the invite, like a bridal shower invite as so and so are registered at crate and barrel, or did you let people know by word of mouth. We are thinking about registering before the eparty but im not sure how to let people know. TIA!

Re: Registry and E-Party
I think its a faux pax to include registry info in the invite. Just make sure your mom or MOH let people know...word of mouth is easiest. If you're registered on BBB, people can look up your name on the Knot and the registry will show up. We registered at Fortunoff so it would show up on the Wedding Channel too. We also listed it on our website.

Re: Registry and E-Party
I too think it's Faux pax to include registry info w/ eparty invites. We did register (only b/c I was so darn anxious to do it!! ) and a few people asked if we registered anywhere. Of those who asked, none bought from the registry!! But we did receive gifts off the registry from others. We received 5 gifts from the registry, the rest of the gifts were monetary. And think, if people want to buy a gift (as opposed to giving $), they will ask or just check the obvious stores for a registry OR just buy something!

We went by word of mouth only. If people asked, we told. Nothing was put on the invitations or sent with them; I too think it is a faux pas to do so.

I only put them in for my family because they say that your really not supposted to do that ...But my family always does and I didnt know if his family did ....so thats what I when with ...His Mother new that we were registered so anyone that asked her she let them know I would say it was about 50/50 with money and gifts

This is exactly what we did...some people wanted to buy gifts so they asked if we were registered and where...but unless they asked we didn't tell anyone
For my shower I guess we will let people know but not on the invite
