registry - bath linens/accessories

fi and i have been living together over 2 years. we have towels for our master bath & guest bath that match the color/accessories in each room. i thought we should register for GOOD quality towels since ours are cheapy towels. but as i thought about it i realized that might not be a good idea since we'll probably buy a house 2 years after the wedding andi have no idea what color the bathrooms will be. and i don't want to get neutral colored towels b/c that's just not us.

do you think we should register for towels in color scheme that i'd like bathrooms to be and hope, when the time comes, we can find bathroom accessories to match? should we register for accessories too even though we won't know what size rug or shower curtain to get? or do we just skip the bathrooms on the registry (goodness knows we have tons of other stuff on our list!)?

Have fun register for everything you like. If you like certain colors register for that.. as far as bathroom accessories. I wouldn't what if you register for a shower curtain and buy a house that has shower doors. Pick your toothbrush holder, tissue box holder and garbage can that match.. Enjoy registering.

My Fi and I already live together too...we opted to not get towels b/c like you guys we are going to buy a house in a couple of years and don't want to chance it.

What we are registering for is new china, cooking stuff, and appliances. Stuff that we really want but haven't been able to buy ourselves.

I've also read options where you can register for honeymoons.

We own our house too, and I already have all my towels/linens, but I'll share something a coworker taught me a couple years back.

Colored towels ALWAYS fade with regular use/washing. Add to that, stores discontinue lines and colors, and two years from now, and you won't be able to update/refresh your supply as easily.

Go for white. Its always crisp & clean looking, can match every bathroom in your house, and if they get a stain, you can always bleach them.
