registry!? bbb

My fmil just called me from Bed BAth and Beyond and EVERYTHING (5 big items) she wanted to get me is discontinued. but it does NOT say that on my online registry! she is going to go to the other BBB but the sales person there said its not available anywhere. this makes no sense. She had me try and order from online and it was going through but i did not complete the order because she wants to wait till she goes to the other bed bath and beyond. (Now i know what she is getting me!) and i am so annoyed because maybe its not available online too? : (

you should have gotten an email or a letter in the mail if things were being discontinued. this happened to me a few months ago. BBB sent me a copy of my registry with the items that were being discontinued highlighted. I didn't change anything b/c the things being discontined I either went and bought or some were just extra things we put on. They are still on my registry, but it doesn't say anything about them being discontinued. That is very strange!!

i am so upset. fmil brought home the two print outs of my registry from woodbury store and westbury- westbury was a bit better but woodbury had NOTHING. i could count on my fingers how much they had in stock. i hope other stores that my guests go to do not have this problem. i am so surprised. i ordered normal popular items. i am not even upset that i may not be able to get what i picked but more that my guests will have a headache.

what was it? the only issues ive had where BBB didn't have something in the stores was with my china -- they had to ship it from their warehouse in NJ. Also, I registered for another pattern I didn't see in the store (spode judaica) and the store out here doesn't have it, but you can order it online.

This happened to us. I don't recall getting an email about the discontinued items though.

In the store, some of our items were discontinued however, you could still order them online. Which is what we did for the small stuff. For the larger stuff- we really had to register for replacements. It was a Pain....

I was at a bridal shower yesterday and someone said that BB&B are filing for bankruptcy!!! Don't know if that has anything to do with them not having things in stock. Sorry for the sad news
