For a casual engagement party in the backyard is it tacky to put a 'we are registered at' card in the invitation? I want to but my FMIL said not to.

Re: Registry card?
I wouldn't. But that's just me. For my eparty I wasn't registered but alot of people asked me and my mom if we were.

Re: Registry card?
i think word of mouth is better. or maybe if you have a wedding website, put that on.. and link the registry to the wedding website so guests could find it if they wanted to.

I didn't have an E-party at all since we had a short engagement. But I like this idea.

Re: Registry card?
i don't like the idea...FH and I didn't do it for our e-party. we left it up to word of mouth or personal preference since a lot of people in is family prefer to give money rather than a gift.
