My mom is looking to send out the invites soon for my shower. I ended up registering at 3 places, but did not get the little cards from all of the places to stick inside the invitations, (plus i dont really want them to put 3 cards in there, I think it's too much.)
Anyway I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on something simple my mom could type up and print out on one small sheet to put in rather than the cards. Anyone do this?

I never got this in an invitation before, but I think it is a great idea. Mayven just print something on a cute cardstock like:
(Your Name) is registered at the following places:
Then you can list your places w/the websites.
I think that would be so easy to do and could solve your problem of not having all of the cards and putting 3 seperate cards in the envelopes.

I registered for 3 places and I made cards my self...

I Just used WORD and copied any pasted so that were 6 on a page then cut I them out with a paper cutter . I also put some flower clip art to make it nicer
If you want a poem I just made this up...lol

You can def. do it in word. You can even create a mail merge to get small labels and place behind the invite.. or even print on plain white paper and cut..
There are endless possibilities..

You can just write it on the invitation itself. I had cards from each place but they did the invites and did it this way. Ive received shower invites done the same way

Mine had something very similar to that...much easier than putting 3 extra pieces of paper....
A little off topic, but Denise, I noticed that your invitation says that your shower was given by your mom (Mine said that too...) Apparently one of my bridal magazine subscriptions is still going, and I read in it this weekend in some etiquette section that they basically said it was tacky to have you mom host the shower as it looks like your mother is trying to get gifts from people on your behalf. I was APPALLED. I really couldn't believe that the magazine said that!! My mom was SO incredibly excited to host my shower - I couldn't imagine her not doing it...and for the magazine to say that it shouldn't be that way was just ridiculous in my opinion...

lol its ok get it out hahaha. Yeah i heard that but oh well wasnt about to have my bm's chip in for a 60 person shower, that is asking for too much ya know and if my mom was paying for it then not gonna make up somebody that is hosting it lol. Besides, alot of ppl i know do it this way, alot of girls on here their mothers paid for the shower so its not out of the norm. I wouldn't let it get to you. As long as its not the brides name its fine

Ha - thanks...I have no clue why that bothered me quite so much, but it really did! The way they worded it, it made it sound like bride's mom's were out there forcing people to buy things for their daughters, or like you mentioned, that the bride was completely doing it for herself...
Sometimes it cracks me up what things will annoy me on any given day!!
