if anyone is looking into stainless steel....I just registered for Cuisanart Multiclad Pro set. Im usually a calphalon girl, but I read sooooooo many awesome reviews from cooking websites on this product and it's not very expensive.
I prefer Stainless Steel, so I registered for a Stainless Steel set and a non stick skillet for eggs, etc.
I also have a enameled cast iron dutch oven that I don't use as much since its a pain to lug out because its so heavy. It works terrific though for stews and things like that.

I had to register for stainless bc we have a ceramic flat top stove.
I'm pretty sure you can use nonstick on a flat top stove... that's what my mom has and she uses nonstick. Though I'm not sure if hers is ceramic or glass. Why couldn't you use nonstick?
well you cant use anything with any kind of coaing on the outside of the pan.. you can use non stick if the outside is stainless or aluminum with no outside coating. The stovetop gets too hot and the enamel will melt to the glass top
OOOOOOOH that I knew. I thought you were saying that there was a problem with the nonstick coating on the *inside* of the pan!
Sorry.. The problem with alot of the non stick is that theyre coated on the outside.. so i just registered for Stainless :)
