Hi Girls, I need advice in what to do here.. I think my shower is coming up as things are popping off my registry but here's the problem. I'm registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond AND Crate & Barrel. I registered for all my daily stuff like plates, glasses, sheets etc from C & B just cause I liked it better then what I saw elsewhere but decided to put some of the pricey stuff on BB&B because of those 20% coupons. Now everybody is only buying off of BB & B and I none of my C & B stuff is being bought. It can't be the price cause it's only $35 a placesetting? I hate to sound ungrateful because people are being really generous but we kind of need plates & glasses, no? Aren't those usually the first things to go? As much as I’ve been dying to get my KitchenAid that would have bought like all my dishes and we’ll use them everyday! So...do I settle for a set I'm not crazy about at BB & B just to get something OR (this is mean) delete everything that remains at BB & B to try to force them into buying from C & B? I am aware that this could totally backfire and I get whatever the heck people feel like getting me... :) Am I being ridiculous? Don't tell me if I'm being a total B****!
Thanks!

Re: Registry Dilemma
The good thing abotu BB&B is the return policy, you can return anything from your registry for cash. So after the shower return what you don't love and get what you want from crate and barell

Re: Registry Dilemma
Could there be a problem with the registry? I had a friend who registered at C&B and they didn't take the stuff of f of the registry, so she got dupes of some things.
I actually love C&B and didn't register there b/c we had a lot of OOT guests and sometimes people don't like to buy from 'speciality stores'.
Oh and BB&B is good b/c they give you cash back, it is nice!!!

Re: Registry Dilemma
I think the problem with C&B is that it is difficult to get to. There's only the one store on LI so it's inconvenient for most people, unless you live over there that is. BB&B not only has coupons but has ample amounts of stores to go to. I would wait and see what happens. You will probably get money also so you can always go and buy it with the money you get.

Re: Registry Dilemma
Thanks girls! I know location is part of the problem but I figured there would be those people that order on line. I know the site is working too b/c there are a few things missing but I got those a while back as engagement gifts. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and run around to return stuff for $$... I think my shower is in the next few weeks so I was just panicking cause I want some damn plates! lol!
You know..something OTHER then the little farm animal plates we have now!! :) (lil gift from fmil a while back!)

Re: Registry Dilemma
I agree with the above posters.
Definitely leave them on the C&B registry if they are the ones you love, since your shower is still a few weeks away, not everyone is done shopping yet so I'm sure you'll get some things you need to return as well as some of your C&B stuff.

Re: Registry Dilemma
Are alot of people that are coming to your shower older? I know my mom hasn't even heard of Crate & Barrel and would probably not think to go there.
BB&B is an easy in-and-out kind of store, where C&B might be a pain to go to the mall find a spot, etc.
