Registry!! Do you ever feel...

Registry!! Do you ever feel...

Guilty after registering? I am constantly putting things on and taking things off. I keep getting nervous if things are to expensive. I feel people will think I am being greedy if I have to many expensive items.

My FH told me to keep everything on. He says that his family likes to get expensive gifts (Which they always do).

Then I think, I have plenty of reasonably priced things on there. If people don't want to spend to much, they have options.

I don't want to register for crap! I put things on that are going to be good quality and are going to last. I also only put things on that I really need. I need alot, since Fh and I still live at home.

You need everything, put everything. Sometimes groups of people will get you a more expensive gift. Don't worry.
I am at BBB and they allow you to return anything as long as it was on your reg and they keep it up for 2 years so for holidays and anniversaries you can continue to get things from it. Then I think you can get it for yourself for 10% off if you didn't receive it.

Trust me! When it comes to showers, people are VERY generous! I was very nervous about some of the items that were on my registry that were expensive & let me tell you, at my shower this past weekend,I got them all!!!

Don't feel bad at all!!!!

Not really. And everyone registers when they get married. If someone is willing to pay $250 for a decorative vase I registered for, at least its one that i picked out. Also, it's not going to kill me if I do not get it. I registered for things that I knew I wouldn't buy myself. But hey, someone else can if they want!

no, not reallly. I have things in different price ranges. if someone gets us the more expensive stuff, then great, we got something really cool we don't have to pay for ourselves!!

Girl don't feel bad. You'd be surprised what ppl will get off your registry. I say leave everything you want on, no one is going to judge you!

My sister put a $500 comforter set on hers, and she wasn't going to but I told her anyone. I got it for her and she never saw it coming.

Enjoy, this is the fun part!!

don't feel bad- I think a registry should be things that you normally would buy yourself

nicer things, better things that will last

when you open a gift at a shower- people want the oh and ah factor- nobady wants to give you a $19.99 item- they want to give a $100 item

Yes, I battled that too. I ended up taking off things here and there, but then ended up putting some things back on, like that KitchenAid Stand Mixer. I thought it would be too much money, but I figured I could buy it afterwards if I don't get it. I don't think I have anything outrageous on it, we truly need everything, so whatever we get, I'll be grateful for.

i have gifts from 4.99 up to $800.00 on my registries.. so dont feel bad.. at all.. put what you know you need and know you will use..

What some did on my registry was buy a few things that were on the less expensive side.. and then others who could afford more.. bouth the expensive things.. .. i havent had my bridal shower yet.. its in 2 weeks i think. or no 3 weeks.. however .. the ladies have already purchased things.. i had my resgistry done since last year .. lol anyhow

you are fine.. everyone knows what weddings entail so keep your head up.. and save the stress for the day.. you will need it then.. if you use it all up now.. what will happen on tha tday

u will be alright

Wow, 600? Here is $260, I think, which would probably be the conversion of dollars. Some people will chip in for one big gift.

The most expensive thing on our registry is our knife block at $300, but there are a lot of other things like a good set of pots and pans that can run $500, even Dyson Vacuum cleaners.

Re: Registry!! Do you ever feel...

no... its only 17 cents on the dollar .. so if its 260 there coverted into canadian it would be 304.20 canadian.. here is the link to the one i am getting my kitchen aid stand mixer chrome/metallic It is the one with description :
Custom Metallic® Series

Model #: KSM152PS

that is from their website in american dollars.

this is where i am registered in the usa and this is their price.
However I have registered mine in canada. I know my american relatives wont be able to afford it. But my canadian family will be able to. Thats IF they choose that for me.

bed bath and beyond sells it for 500.00 in us dollars
