We got our first gift off our our registry today!! It was our open veggie dish from our china and I looooove it. Here's my dilemma however:
It's small. We only registered for one, and now I'm thinking I'd like to have two. Will it look greedy if I change the registry now that it's marked 'complete' to ask for another bowl? It's the only thing that anyone's gotten for us yet (before FMIL's very generous gift of all of our silverware!), and I don't want people to think we're being greedy. We're not having an e-party or anything, so it's not like people are really shopping for us yet, but clearly some people know about the registry (the gift was from FMIL's friend).
Ugh..I just don't want people to think I'm being ungrateful!

Re: Registry Etiquette Question
I think you can register for another one. I would hope that people aren't stalking your registry that much to realize that it went from 'complete' to in need of one more.

Re: Registry Etiquette Question
Of course you can register for another one! Actually when I was registering at Fortunoff (of course I had to change it after), the lady TOLD me to put down two vegetable bowls because sometimes you make more than one vegetable

Add it, I'm sure no one will notice, and if they do, who cares, you have a reason for changing it.

Re: Registry Etiquette Question
You're not getting married til next year.... I know people who were changing their registry a few months before. Don't sweat it. I would totally add another one.

Re: Registry Etiquette Question
go for it!!
when FH & I registered we realized that people don't have the same taste as us & are not made of money. if people don't like what we picked then they don't have to purchase it. we just put stuff on our registry for the perks after. like our wonderful $3200 tempur pedic mattress. we don't expect someone to buy it for us (unless they are super generous) we just want to use the perks of purchasing after the wedding.

Re: Registry Etiquette Question
Thanks ladies!! When FH got home last night I asked him and he was like, um, we're absolutely going to need more than just that bowl. So I guess we're registering for more!
I think it's easy to forget that people aren't as obsessed with my registry/planning stuff as I am!
