I am so unsure about getting a modified registry together for our engagement party. Some are telling me I should have it ready if people ask, but not include it in my invitation.....HELP!!!!

Re: Registry for Eparty?
For your engagement party you can create a small registry of items, in case some guests want to purchase a gift for your both. Then about 6-8 months before your wedding you can create the actual wedding registry.

This is what I did! My mom didn't want to put anything in the invitation bc it's a little too pushy but when people are calling/emailing to RSVP if they ask, I have a registry ready!
Though the RSVP date is this Sunday and My registry is still full...not that I've been stalking it or anything. :-P

Re: Registry for Eparty?
hahaha too funny. Yeah I think I will just put the small things that we would like and have it a little less ritzy than the wedding registry, like with fine china and all that.
Ive read that its optional to bring a gift at all to the engagement party so I dont want people to feel obligated. I will tell my mother and FML so they can spread the word if any family asks.

yes definitely register, out party is the 24th and people have been asking! We registered right after we got engaged because people started asking us...

Re: Registry for Eparty?
None of my guests really had been to an e-party before so they never asked about a registry. Since it was a bbq everyone instead bought food so I guess the supermarket was my registry.

Re: Registry for Eparty?
We registered for a few things because some guest were asking our parents if we were. You might as well, because you may end p with something you already have or don't want.
