Obviously Im not going to register for a three piece set at Macys, but FH and I really dont need a lot of the kitchen stuff. Anyone find a way to get gift cards or something towards furniture??
Its so funny how its perfectly acceptable to register for a china setting that I personally will never use, but what we need I cant really get?? Im just venting

Re: Registry for furniture?
We are registered at pottery barn and they have a choice on the bottom of the registry where you can register for gift cards (not actual amounts but just that you would like them). I am also having my fam spread the word that gidt cards would be appreciated since we are moving a few months after the wedding. Unfortunately, eveything ive read or been told is that you aren't supposed to actually register for furniture.

I worked in the registry dept at Crate and Barrel years ago.. Couples would note on their registries...' Bride and Groom would also like gift certificates to put towards the purchase of the 'whatever collection' dining room set..or variations of..it worked
