Has anyone else experienced frustration when completing their registry?? Or is it just me??
I do enjoy picking things out for our future home but I feel as though I have to do soooooo much research on everything (I read reviews on most of the items to make sure it is a quality product)...and it is SO time consuming. Also, I am indecisive about certain things (such as colors for bathroom) and I wish I was more decisive.
Also, FH and I don't live together and I still live at home with my parents, so we need to register for everything, because we don't have anything right now..lol.
I feel like it's going to take foreverrrrrrrrrr to complete my registry!!!
Just wondering if anyone else has felt this way.

Re: Registry Frustration
It was overwhelming at first because just like you FH and I both live with our parents and do not own an apartment or house together. I tried to separate the things that I would need into groups (i.e.: fine china and glass/everyday china glasses, kitchen items, bed and bath items). Each group of things I picked a separate store you register for them from..for me this was the most organized way to do it.

Re: Registry Frustration
i feel the same way but for a diff reason. my Fh and i have been living together over 2 years. we already have everything and if we were to register where would we put it???? and we have no plas to buy something new bc all of our money is going to pay for the wedding! but...being that i am second to last of all my close friends to get married i do have some advice that may help 1-check your registry to make sure things havent gotten discontinued--they do and often--sometimes they day after you register so make sure you keep checking 2--if you want to to bathroom try and keep neautral colors and then you can always buy accent colors when you move and find a place 3- you can always put some gift cards on the registry and if you find they are popular or if you BM's spread the word for you you can always add more on! 4-you can always register for alternate registries! Re: Registry Frustration
I was so overwhelmed when I first started registering! I did it online bc I thought I would go crazy in a store, and I registered for basic stuff (pots, plates, frames) for my e-party. Now everyday I add a little bit more.
I picked my favorite color, purple, for our bathroom. Just remember that it's soooo easy to change sets in the bathroom so it's not like what you pick has to be permanent. We got one set for our e-party and I'm going to register for another set for my shower - I get bored easily lol.

Re: Registry Frustration
It can definitely be overwhelming. I started our registries early (though they are not available to view to the public yet) and after I got the basic stuff in there I started doing consumer research on certain products to see which were the best and then change up those items on the registry as I went along.
The most annoying thing though is how quickly things seem to go out of stock or be discontinued (esp. the dinnerware and bedding). I must have gone through like 7 dinnerware designs! Hopefully the ones we've narrowed it down to stay available.

Re: Registry Frustration
i don't know where you're registering, but BBB has a really cool checklist on their website. I printed it out, went through it with my mom because I didn't even know what half the things on there were! Crossed off things I didn't need, added things I wanted, etc.
Then I went to BBB website and added things I liked in each category to my 'wish list' - then I printed out the wishlist and brought it with my when I registered in store.
The consultants are usually really good at directing you, but even though FH and I were there for 4+ hours and I was soooo prepared and we had the best consultant in the store (my cousin works there so she had hand-picked the best for us), we STILL missed things - when I got home I had to add a knife block and a garbage pail for the kitchen because we totally forgot to do that when we were there.
HTH!
BTW I went to BBB in Westbury and my cousin is Laurie - I actually forget the name of the person we registered with but she was AMAZING.
