So I thought there was china and everyday plates. I was on the Bed, Bath, & Beyond site last night and saw that there are actually 3 different types of dinnerware:
-Fine China -Casual China -Everyday Dining
What's the differences between these? Which should I register for?! HELP :)

I registered for fine china (waterford padova) and then everyday dining (corelle dinnerware)... the casual china is usually what people register for if they don't want really fancy china. The fine china is usually in 5-piece place settings, and alot of the everyday dining sets are in like 16 piece sets (4 big plates, 4 little places, 4 bowls, 4 mugs) so I registered for 3 of those so I have 12 of everything

We registered for the Noritake 'Casual China'
It's super durable and can even go in the oven. It'll last longer than some of their cheaper place settings, but it is more practical than fine china.
I think it's really a matter of preference, what you want, and what you think people will actually buy you.
THIS! us too

I have regular white plates from Crate and Barrel that we use every day. I registered for Mikana Antique White for when we have company, and Waterford china for holidays & special occasions.

It was actually a great deal. We received it at our engagement party and really like it!

hmmm... ok so I'm thinking maybe I'll just do the casual china. The casual china will be a little nicer than the every day plates, but still casual enough to use for dinner every night right?
Also- who had a bigger selection- Macy's or Bed, Beth & Beyond?

Both are good selection-wise, but with macy's 5% of every purchase towards your registry is put onto a gift card at the end, and they tend to have more promotions for sales on the china

We registered for a Casual China set since we already have everyday china thats very nice, and don't want fine china. I'm also thinking of registering for a Holiday set for Christmas time, since I love the holidays, but my shower will probably be in like may so I'm not sure anywhere would have it available anyway! lol

We registered for a full setting of casual china (12 peices plus all the matching serveware) Opal Innocense Carved. We also plan to register for just a set of everyday plates (4 place settings) for us to use every day. When we have company we will use the casual china

This! I also did fine china (lenox) and corelle. I strongly considered noritake because it was less expensive, but I didn't love any of the patterns.

I'm not really sure, but I feel like Everyday Dishes and Casual Dishes are the same? I have no idea actually, we got Quattro plain white dishes from BB&B for our engagement party and registered for Waterford Kilbarry Platinum as our Fine China.

ok so if I don't register for fine china, I down to casual china and everyday dining dishes. Problem with some casual china is that it's very plain, but everyday dishes just seem to casual. ahhh not sure what to get!
