I'm getting ready to send out my invites and I just realized... how will people know where we are registered? 90% of our guests are OOT guests and many are in the military (so most are males bringing a date).
Soooo.... Do we send registry inserts with the invitations or is that tacky? I'm afraid people will think we are just after gifts, which we aren't. But if they buy us a gift we would like it to be something we won't have to discretely get rid of.

Normally you send information of where you are registered with your bridal shower invites. I wouldnt send it out with your invites.

I also have a large amount of oot guests, so I created a wedding website that has hotel, travel info and my registry. I made a card for my invites that said for travel info please see our website www.XXXXXXXX.com People will also see the registries when they get there. HTH!

I sent out our wedding website with the Save the Dates, but not too many people have visited... I guess we'll just have to cross our fingers that they visit closer too.

Yes, but I have those as an insert in the invitation and most are militrary men who were stationed at that base before so they already know the hotels. Which is why I'm thinking they aren't checking out the website.

Well if thats the case, then I would probably stick it in the invites.... but can you get it done nicely like on a card or something? I know the little paper that BBB gives out is a bit tacky looking to go inside a beautiful invitation. It also depends on how fancy your invites are. If you think it'll make your invites look cheap/tacky, then maybe have a place do it nicely on a card or something.
T essa is doing m y invites and her prices are pretty good... maybe you can look into that?

hmmm i would think if u r not having a bridal shower..then by word of mouth is ur best bet..im sure people will want to know and maybe call up and find out where

I would either write it or print (whichever is the case) in the invites or put an insert, maybe from the store.
*** just read that you are not having a bridal shower. Do you want this registry for your wedding? I wouldn't put it in a wedding invitation.

Don't put them in your invites, its considered in poor taste. A wedding website is your best bet.

I would have the word spread by mouth......Have FH or parents tell the family where you are registered
