I just got a shower invite in the mail for a friend that included no registry information. The next day, I got her wedding invitation that had the little card from Macy's saying that's where they registered.
I read a lot that it's tacky to include your registry info with your wedding invitation.
I haven't set up a wedding web-site yet as I'm still working on our honeymoon registry. But I thought we could include the wedding web-site on our invite.
Thoughts?

mine is going on my shower invite and on our website.
we are not putting it on our wedding invites.

a card with our wedding website (which includes our HM registry and links to our other registries) was in the shower invitation.
We had our wedding website printed on the bottom of our direction card because it contains hote info too.

Mine will go along with my Bridal Shower invite. I thought it was tacky to add to a wedding invitation but there's a girl on here that told me that in her culture that's the way it's done. So I think it really depends on the couple and what their culture or tradition is...

Shower invite and website.
I have an insert with my website address in my wedding invite, but no registry information. I've never seen a wedding invite with registry cards.

They usually go out with shower invites. I've never seen them sent with wedding invites.

I had a wedding website but realized that 80 percent of my guests would not look at it so i didnt put anything up there. Not everyone is invited to the shower and they are all spread out so just putting it in the shower invites would have been a waste as well.
Like I had said the other day, in every wedding i've been to the registry card has always gone in with the invites. Thats the way our guests expect it to be and would really consider it a hassle if they had to contact us to find out themselves. so it def depends on what you are used to. I dont think its right of ppl to say outright that something is wrong becasue its different from what they are accustomed to.

what will you get at your shower if you dont give them the registry info? also will people then bring gifts to your wedding like blenders and stuff?
im just curious... ive never been to a wedding where the registry info was in the wedding invite...

We are just putting at the bottom of the invite (and save the date)

those that come to the shower will already have the registry info so they will bring the gifts to the shower regardless. As for the rest, for those who dont ship it directly to the house, yes there are some ppl that bring gifts to the actual wedding

Yeah I thought it was strange that the registry info wasn't included in my friend's shower invite. But I guess her invites went out at the same time so people received it one way.

It's going in with my shower invites and I already have links to it on my wedding website.
