FMIL just received a bridal shower invite, it was a computer printed invitation, and the last couple of lines were printed where she was registered... i thought this wasn't suppose to be done, ettiquette(sp?) wise?

Re: Registry information with shower card?
Usually for a shower it is. Most places even give cards to go in the shower invites.

Re: Registry information with shower card?
I don't see a problem with that, every shower I have been invited to has had the registry info printed on it.

Re: Registry information with shower card?
Oh, ok, I don't really see a problem with it being printed on the invite. Not for a shower, I think that's fine.

Re: Registry information with shower card?
The registry info usually only goes with the shower, I don't think people send anything with the wedding invites.

Re: Registry information with shower card?
butterfly - i agree, i thought it was supposed to be on a card or something that goes along witht he invite - not on the invitation itself. but i guess if you don'thave the little cards (fortunoff never sent them to me so i don'thave them) you can print it on the invite instead. definitely not on the wedding invite though!

Re: Registry information with shower card?
I read somewhere that the bride and her immediate family are not supposed to tell the guests where the bride and groom are registered. It is supposed to come from a bridesmaid or friend.

Re: Registry information with shower card?
You can include it on a shower invitation but not on engagement or wedding invites.

Re: Registry information with shower card?
My mother went crazy with my shower invites, using Encore company, spent a lot of money, and she put where I was registered right on the bottom of the invite. I don't think it's an etiquette problem.

Re: Registry information with shower card?
my FSIL put it on my shower invites. You just shouldn't put it on the wedding invite.

Re: Registry information with shower card?
For the showers that I've been to that have the store bought invitations that you hand write the info into, they've enclosed the 'registry cards' but for some invitations that are pre-written/engraved, the registry info was printed onto it at the end.
