I asked for 12 - 5pc place settings (flatware) and it said that 24 were bought. I really doubt that someone would buy double for forks and knifes and spoons. But if they did...WHY? there's so many other things they could have bought. Either that or Fortunoff's made a mistake.

hmmm... at least you can return them for something else later! my best friend got married last spring and only got half of some things - she was kind of bummed about it!

I'm going to call Fortunoffs tomorrow and see if they can give me info...otherwise I'm looking forward to returning it for some other stuff still on my registry!!!

So I just got off the phone with Fortunoff's customer service and ofcourse they made a mistake. Why would anyone buy 24 place settings? Nothing to return later...but its one more thing off my registry!!!

Nope..it's not odd. I had an issue with Fortunoff and I called them. They said that sometimes the system doesn't update on time and you get people buying stuff that was already bought...So, I asked them What's the point of a registry ?
Whatever....In any case, you'll probably end up returning stuff anyway. You'll be able to trade the extras in for something else.
