Registry on E-party invites?

I am trying to do my engagement party invites and FH and I had an argument about putting the registry on the engagement party invites. Do you put them on the invite or no? If so, what wording did u use?

Honestly...this might come off in a bad way (and I don't mean in like this): If you would rather people give you $$$...dont let them know you have a registry.

I wouldn't if people want to know they will usually ask

I wouldn't put the registry info on the eparty invites, if you are registered let that info get out by word of mouth

I agree. We didn't put it on our invites. Some people asked us, and others asked our parents. Or some people might have just looked themselves. We got a good combination of cash and gifts at our e-party.

I agree that you should not put it on the invites. It will definitely still get around to the guests that want to use your registry but looks a little better that you are not expecting fancy gifts.

Personally I wouldn't it could come off looking like you're asking for gifts. If people want to know they will ask when the RSVP or by word of mouth they will find out.

People obviously know there is usually a registry for a shower but not always an e-party.

We are having our e-party and didn't register. So I wouldn't put the registry info on there.

I just sent out my eparty invites... On the invite themselves I didn't write anything about registering, but I did include one of the little 'Gift preferences are available at Macy's' cards along with the directions card. Does where you registered give you those little cards?

we had the same mini argument about this topic. i didnt wanna put it on so that we got cash instead, and also i thought maybe it would be too much to put registry info for the e-party and then again for the bridal shower.... soooo, we didnt put it on the invites.

I put the registry info on because most people dont give u gifts for your wedding. Most people give you cash. You get the stuff off ur registry at ur engagement party and bridal shower. I would put the info on the e party invite! I got almost all my china at my engagement party (all but two pieces).

Technically people are not supposed to give you gifts for your engagement party. It would be in poor taste to mention anything about gifts on your invite. I know some older people may be offended.
