Registry peeking...

Ok I just peeked at mine and for the first time saw that things were bought off of it! I am so excited, but I am feeling the guilt for looking. Ladies, remind me again why it is ok to look! Because now I know I will look all the time, it is addicting!

Re: Registry peeking...

When we registered my FH didnt want to be there (for like the first 10 minutes). Then he suddenly realized he needed all these kitchen tools, etc..suddenly he was very interested in appliances and dishese. LOL!!! I could have left and he would not have noticed. He got very involved, then we registered at a second place and he was nice enough to share the 'zapper' with me.

Re: Registry peeking...

Why its ok to peek:
1. To make sure that there are still enough items available to be purchased in all price ranges.
2. If your gifts are being shipped to you, to let you know to watch for the boxes (and to call if they don't show up when expected.)
3. Because this is supposed to be fun, and peeking is fun!

Re: Registry peeking...

I agree with Valenia...

I have peeked...OK gawked is more like it ( ) but, only because I want to be sure that the items are still available, not on back order, etc. I registered at Crate & Barrell and many of their things are seasonal so I have to keep on top of it. Plus, I'm just nosey...I HATE surprises!

I peak but I know I shouldn't. I get upset now when I don't see things coming off :)

Re: Registry peeking...

I know you are going to think I am a party pooper, but as a former peeker, I advise you not to peek.
It was still fun to open my gifts at the shower and I had a great time and love everything I got.
But I knew what I was getting and that took away part of the fun. I knew when my shower was and I forced myself to stop looking 4 days before, so there were a few surprises, but not many.
So if you have a suspicion when your shower might be, at least try to stop looking for a few days before.
Either way, have fun with registering and have fun at your showers (they go by sooooo quick!)

Re: Registry peeking...

I completely agree with JennK, and I haven't even had my shower yet!! I know when the date is, and now that I've seen what is purchased (and with PB by who!) I already know it will ruin one of the few surprises left. Plus I found out that my FMIL bought me something that was already purchased from the registry (she lives out of state) so now I already know I'm getting at least 2 doubles

I won't peek anymore!!!

Re: Registry peeking...

I really think peeking is OK...b/c I would look on it and say...I don't need that...and would take it off...

no guilt...just excitement..
