My FH and I are planning on registering this weekend. We are thinking of picking two out of these four..
Crate and Barrel Fortunoffs Macys Williams-Sonoma
It would be great if you ladies wouldn't mind posting your registry experiences... it's overwhelming (but in a fun way).

I wanted Fortunoff, but DH wanted Macy's since they are nationwide. We went to MAcy's had a very bad experience, left and cancelled it when we got home. The next weekend we went to Fortunoff. They had a MUCH wider selection of cookware, appliances and household stuff, which was primarily what we were looking for.
We also registered at Crate & Barrel and I think they are the best of what I have seen. The website has everything that the stores do and it is really easy to update things. We had a few things break in shipping and they took everything back with no questions asked and were wonderful about it.
Also registered for a few things at Target, but that ended up being not such a good idea for us. The registry was cancelled 3 months after the wedding without even an email to warn us. Also, returns there are a hassle.

Fortunoffs seems to have a better track record than Macys. Macy's screwed up so many things in my sisters registry she made me promise not to use them (she opened 7 sets of towels at her shower - they never took them off the registry, amoung other issues)

We registered at Crate & Barrel and Fortunoffs . It was a lot of fun. We included our crystal and high end kitchen stuff from fortunoff. On our Crate & Barrel list we included fun everyday stuff like wine glasses and decorative items.

We registered at Crate and Barrel and Fortunoff. If it is between Macy's and Fortunoff: I say Fortunoff for the customer service-for both you and your guests. A very pleasant shopping experience!

Hi Lovey! Well, I've had great experiences so far with Crate and Barrel, Fortunoffs and Bed, Bath and Beyond. We're also registered at Target, but haven't received anything from that registry yet....so I can't comment.

LOL, I'm registered at all four.
Let me explain: Initially, we were going to register at Fortunoff and Crate & Barrel. There were a few items I wanted from WIlliams Sonoma, so we added that. I realized that Macy's carries my china pattern at a lesser price than Fortunoff and has all of the completer pieces in stock (at Fortunoff, they're all 6 week special order).
I couldn't think about having 4 registry cards pop out of my shower invitations, so only Fortunoff, Crate & Barrel, and Macy's will go in shower invitations. Macys' card specifically says, 'China Only.' My Williams Sonoma won't be mentioned at all. We were going to delete it entirely, but decided if we leave it, we can buy the items we want for a discount after the wedding.
Now that I've rambled, if I had to choose only 2, I'd go with Fortunoff and Crate & Barrel.
