Registry Question

How many of you girls have already registered and if not, when do you plan to?

I feel like I have so much time, but people keep asking me when are we going to register.

Thanks Ladies

Re: Registry Question

I registered before our e-party because people were asking. It's nice to put some things on early this way you get what you like. Also, I have been getting things off my registry for holidays and birthday. Another thing my aunt suggested - start the registry early this way if people are on a budget each month, they can buy a little at a time. HTH!

I registered already. I left a few things off that change often like bedding and towels. But once I registered I did get some engagement gifts from it.

We plan to register in December - I figure the shower will probably be in April/May so I don't want to register too early and risk having items dicontinued.

That is also what I was thinking, but since we need EVERYTHING (we both still live at home until the W), I thought maybe starting would be okay and leave out stuff like bedding, towels, etc.

I registered already at Fortunoff's - we did it right before we had our engagement party. I will also register at BB&B probably in November.

I left off bedding and towles. Some things might get discontinued, but then you have the option if you really like it, buy it yourself, or find something something different. If you are concerned about China, then wait for that. I picked my China already, but it is a very popular pattern. But I would register for some things.

Re: Registry Question

I'm am thinking around October/November I will register at Fortunoff, Sur La Table and Crate & Barrel. I know we will probably get some Christmas gifts from family from the registry and because my wedding is in May it's my guess that my shower will be in late March or early April. I did want to do it as a late as possible in case items become discountinued.

Re: Registry Question

I registered already, for our engagement party in July. Originally I was just going to register for appliances, and not anything in a pattern that might get discontinued, but then I got a little swept away and just registered for everything.

I'm glad I did though. I'm so excited to get gifts now. Our engagement party invitations went out last week, and I checked our registry and already a few things have been bought!
