Registry question

Just a quick question, how do your guests know where your registered, is it word of mouth or do you put it in the invitation. My FH and I are clueless about the little details.

Re: Registry question

Well, if you are talking about an engagement party, then it is supposed to be by word of mouth. I just had my party last week and received mostly gifts from my registry, so word of mouth worked. I have been invited to e-parties with the registry cards in there though. I didnt mind it, but I hear it is NOT proper etiquette to do so. For a bridal shower however, you should put in the cards where you are registered. Hope this helps you out.

Re: Registry question

I am going to register in a few weeks, when you register, the stores you register in give you cards to put inside your bridal shower invitations, also word of mouth works also.

Re: Registry question

We had an e-party, but it was really small and not many purchased from the registry (only 1 person called my mom asking where we were registered)

The name of the stores was listed on the shower invites and guests mainly purchased from there for shower gifts.....

Re: Registry question

Technically you should never include those little cards in any invites and it should always be word of mouth but today, most people get them in the shower invite. Never put any registy info in an e-party or wedding invite. You can also list it on your wedding web site, if you have one. But word of mouth does really work.
