Registry question

Registry question

what did you guys put on your registry for stemware? I would like some nice glasses but I have no idea how many different types of glasses we need (there are goblets, beverages, flutes, red wine and white wine glasses) . And I have no idea how many of each to get. I just want the basics..can you tell me what you registered for?

We arent big wine drinkers but i only did 6 red wine,6 toasting and 6 white wine. Nothing to much.

For crystal stemware, I got 12 which is the same amount of place settings I registered for,

I got 12 Wine Goblet ones & Iced Beverage. I only put 6 for Champagne because it's very unlikely I would ever need more.

As far as Martini, Brandy, Cordial, etc..., I put 6 of each to have for the bar once we get a house.

I got 12 goblets, wine glasses, and champagne glasses to go with our formal china.

We also registered for 4 pilsner glasses (the tall beer glasses), 4 maritini glasses, and a margharita set (i think it has 6 glasses plus the pitcher).

I would also recommend registering for a set of plain (inexpensive) wine glasses and champagne glasses for this reason: you're only going to use your good crystal on special occasions. All the other times (when you have guests over, small parties, etc.) you're not going to want to take a chance of your good crystal getting broken or damaged -- so its a good idea to keep a set of each (maybe like 6 of each type of glass) that's simple and cheap so they can be used all the time and replaced easily if broken.

I did 12 of each .... there are 5 types of my everyday stemware: old fashioned, high ball, white wine, red wine and champaigne.

For my formal - I did 12 of each also:there are 4 types: white wine, red wine, champagne and I cant think of the other one.

I also registered for a set of 12 martini glasses, and a set of 12 shot glasses.
