quick question.. when do you make your registry? before or after the engagement party?? i always thought it was after the engagement party because youre not asking for gifts, and shouldnt expect gifts from people... BUT when my mom and I were at a bridal show, someone from macys told us that if were having an engagement party to make sure we register beforehand... isnt that a little tacky???

I didnt register before my e-party b.c we didn't want gifts. We plan to register about 9 months ahead of our wedding.

thats what i was planning on doing as well. i thought the whole point of an engagement party was to celebrate and if you got a gift then great, but i didnt expect any, nor would i want people to bring them to me.

i didnt reg for my e-party it is too early and that things on the list will be discont. by the time you have your wedding
