I realize now, that many of my guests live far away and dont have a fortunoff near them. Do you think people realize they can purchase things online? I just feel like out of town people may think I am rude to register there.

Re: Registry Question
The younger folks will buy online, but the older folks will not. I doubt they will think you are rude, they just may decide to use their own creativity in chosing a gift (Which is dangerous!). You may want to consider a smaller second registry at somewhere nationwide...

Re: Registry Question
I don't know if Fortunoff has them, but I got them from the Macy's registry.... I got little cards showing that I was registered in Macy's for my girls to insert when they send out the shower invitations.
Hope this helps!

Re: Registry Question
Honestly, I registered at Target, in addition to Fortunoff's for that very reason!! Most of the 'older' generation don't really realize that all of this stuff is on-line. I think it depends on your crowd. Our families weren't very techno-savvy, so we registered where we knew there were local stores to most people.
Good Luck!!!

Re: Registry Question
We also have a BBB registry, but to be honest most things are on my Fortunoff registry. I dont know if we have those little cards or not to put in shower invites, but it is too late anyway. I suspect my shower invites are already out!

Re: Registry Question
Your husband will love you if you chose Target as the second since he can then add some fun electronic toys to the registry! hehe

Re: Registry Question
Would it be smart for me to move some things from my fortunoff reg to my BBB registry?

Ask your BMs to help spread the word.

Re: Registry Question
Can you adjust the registries online? If so, your best bet may be peeking periodically and adjusting if the BBB was gets empty.

Re: Registry Question
Many women in my family have registered at Fortunoff. The out of town older folks in our family either a) ordered from registries online (some are computer savvy) or b) simply called the 800# and had fortunoff mail/fax them a copy of the registry and then they ordered over the phone.
It all depends upon how many of your guests live outside of the Fortunoff store area. If there are many, you might want to consider registering with a more national chain.

Re: Registry Question
I don't think its rude, does Fortunoff have a 1-800 number?
We just got a gift from people in Florida. I don't know if they ordered online, but I think that anyone on the east coast, with any connection to NY, will know Fortunoff. Otherwise you will get gifts they picked....
