did anyone register for any big items like a TV, camcorder or Camera on their Registry? maybe to have like a group of ppl pitch in and get it for you? just a question or do you think they are items that are too big for a reg? ( ie a under 900 dollar tv, under 500 cameras?)
thanks

Re: registry question
I don't think there is a rule to say you can't register for the big ticket items... some couples have already lived together for a long while and have all the household items, so if thats all you really need or want, I think you should put it on your registry!

Re: registry question
I think that having a broad priced registry is a good idea. Maybe a couple family members or your BMs will chip in on the big ticket items.

yea i mean we have lived together for 2 1/2 years so we have a lot, i mean, everything is mismatched so we registered for stuff that will match but like our TV is on the fritz, we want a video camera for when we have kids and stuff so i figured ppl could buy it as a group gift or if they dont at least well get a discount after
also, any news on targets registry getting any better?

Re: registry question
I know girls who have put TVs and DVD players on their registry. I don't see anything wrong with it. DO IT!

Re: registry question
we registered for a camera, refridge, dishwasher and vacuum....
We place on the card that we sent to our guests at our engagement party that gift cards would greatly be appreciated to help us finish our kitchen.
so for the engagment we received enough cards to get everything but the camera and vacuum so for the shower i told my MOH to do the same...

Re: registry question
I think anything goes with registries these days...
My most expensive single item is my $400 Kitchen aid, second would be $300 dehumidifier for our basement.
ETA: none of my stores sell tv's otherwise I'd probably have added one...
