Registry question

So, I finally registered (partly) this Sunday. What is the average price of your china place settings? They're all so expensive, just want to see if we're on the right track. TIA!!

Re: Registry question

we registered for the mikasa love swirl set. its only $50/setting...its one of the most affordable ones out there

we need 14 pieces b/c FH's family is large. so we figured its best to get something more affordable...especially since we probably wont use them much...and we might need to complete the set ourselves

Re: Registry question

we registered for the mikasa parchment bc we didn't want crazy nice stuff, but wanted something really pretty and a little nicer for holidays and stuff like that. it has a package deal and it's $200 for 8 place settings

Mine is also from Lenox at $119 at BBB. Which one did you register for? We got the venetian lace style.

Re: Registry question

There were a few of the more expensive sets that FH and I liked, but we opted for a more funky set. It's $40 for a 4-piece place setting, Sedona Blue.

Ours is $175 at BBB

Re: Registry question

Ours are $215 at Bloomingdale's - OR - $140 at Williams-Sonoma, so I registered for them at both places. My mom was able to get a great sale at Bloomies and she bought me 12 place settings for like $100 ea.

Re: Registry question

We got white porcelain from Williams Sonoma for $100 per setting, but the outlet in Riverhead always has the individual pieces for at least 40% off

Re: Registry question

Thanks girls, I thought $119 was expensive for 1 place setting. So at least I know it's the average for a lot of people.

I was so worried about this so I found ones that came $25 per setting... $200 for a set of 8.
