Registry Question

So, because we are doing our reception in Michigan... and because all of my family is from elsewhere (not-NY) ... I'm nervous about where to register.

I had originally wanted to do a Target registry for some things but awhile a go I went to buy something off their website and they wanted to slam me with some major shipping charges.

Does anyone have any info on what places will be best for us? With low or free shipping?

I am also considering using Amazon because they do free shipping on so many things as long as the order is over $25. Has anyone had luck using them?

I remember reading on here that someone did an Amazon registry and it seemed no one was using it?

i'm using amazon ...

i like it BUT two people told me that they had trouble buying things for us ... amazon didn't 'remember' our address so they had to fill it in and they didn't know it ...

otherwise, no issues wtih amazon .. i like that i can register for just about anything and their prices are generally the best so you know your guests won't be spending more than necessary on these gifts.
