We decided not register for China (We don't have the room for it and we really just don't care to have china right now) Eventually when we have a house and a family maybe we will get it than. So my question is she we register for extra casual dining wear? Sorry if this is a dumb question. Thanks

Re: Registry Question
It's your gift registry, you can set it up however you want! Have you looked into setting up your honeymoon expenses as part of your registry? It's a really neat idea and makes a lot of sense since you won't be needing things for your house anytime soon. HTH! :)

Re: Registry Question
You could always register for a low-end China like Mikasa or something for your everyday/china. I registered for Italian Countryside by Mikasa at Bed Bath and Beyond for my everyday dishes, but technically it is casual fine china. They sell it in service for 8 for $199! Plus at BBB you can use coupons. I think it's a great deal.

Re: Registry Question
I didn't register for China....I'm NEVER gonna use it and knew it would be a waste for me. I registered for a regular like box with the 4 mugs, plates, bowls, etc from BBB....it was like $80 I think and its awesome and serves its purpose.

Re: Registry Question
FH and I registered for China, but the more i think about it, i feel the same way you do... we dont really need the fine china set as much as we want/need certain kitchen electrics and other things we put on it...
All in all it is your registry you can put or not put any thing you want on there!!!

Re: Registry Question
I inherited really nice china, so I got that covered.
But if you're not going to use it right now, I say skip it. I'm setting up my registry now too

Re: Registry Question
I think you should go for the casual china.. There are lots of sets you can put on there for cheap or you can do like a $40 per setting deal. I'm doin Noritake Mocha Java for my casual china, it's $150 for a 6 setting place set.. Simple and to the point

Re: Registry Question
I wish I didn't register for china when I got married a million years ago. I hate it now. tastes change btw and I never use it. Its such a waste imo. And..you cant get rid of it if you wanna sell it btw.
i'd just do regular dinner ware and maybe something fun for the summer and outside dining if you bbq etc.

Re: Registry Question
I registered for China. Not because I need it now, but want it for the future and I don't want to buy it in the future! But you can put as much stuff on your registry as you want! People will decide what they want to buy and what they dont want. Your registry is your wish list. So put everything on it!

Re: Registry Question
you don't HAVE to register for any kind of plates if you don't want to ... but if you do want them, go for it

Re: Registry Question
I am not registering for fine china either...personally I think it will sit in my cabinet and just collect dust...so I am going to get 2 sets of everyday china..propably one white set a colored set.

Re: Registry Question
you should def register for anything you want! i think everyday dishes are a great idea. i registered for mine at BBB and it was a Mikasa set originally $79.99 for 16 pieces (4 full settings) but on sale (or priced wrong) at $39.99 each set. plus 20% off is well worth it!

Re: Registry Question
We registered for 2 styles of casual dinnerware. One is actually a bit closer to china but is something we could use every day also.
Do what you want and register for what you think you will actually use!!
