Okay so is there a point when you have too much stuff on your registry? I am only registered at one store (Macy's) and I feel like it's moderately long and I have all of the essentials, plus some extras that me and my FH want, like a keurig and wine cooler. But I looked at my cousin's registry at BBB, and it's so long that it goes on to a second page! Is it 'tacky' to have a registry that big, or is mine not long enough?? lol some of the stuff on her registry looks awesome, but I am afraid to add too much to mine because I don't want people to think I'm being greedy =p
I'd love to hear your thoughts! :)

I saw one once that was 18 pages......and that was only at 1 of the 3 stores.

Re: Registry Question
I never think people are greedy when they have a long registry. It's when they register for all super expensive stuff and not lower priced items that the thought crosses my mind.

Registry Question
oo that is good point- I guess if you're registering for like 20 different kinds of two dollar wooden spoons it just makes it look longer! lol... I had a family member who registered for a temperpedic mattress and I remember all of my aunts complaining about it because it was really expensive... needless to say, nobody ever bought that for them!

This! My registry at Macy's has about 150 items (including my place settings, silverware. Things that have multiple quantities) My registry at BBB has about 250 items. This is mainly because FH and I don't live together and literally need everything. Plus we also plan to ask for things from our registry for our bdays and Christmas so I feel it's ok to have a lot. I personally like when I have to buy a gift and there are a bunch of things to choose from versus fewer things.

Okay good I have 131 items right now and I just wanted to register for the little gadgets we need, like a wine rack to hang glasses on and stuff like that- happy to hear that it's ok to add more!!

Registry Question
According to all the books and experts, you should have about 2 times as many gifts on yor registry as you have guests. But that also includes places in the country where people give actual gifts for wedding presents instead of cash. My cousin had about 60women at her bridal shower and registered for about 150 items and didnt receive all of them. But if you're having an engagement party or your mom has a bunch of friends who insist on giving you gifts, it's always good to have more. You can always return non essentials to fill in missing items that you really needed or wanted.

Registry Question
The ladies at BBB told me that you should register for double the amount of people invited to the wedding. So if you are inviting 200 guests then you need at least 400 items. They also reminded us that people are not just buying these items for your shower and the registry will stay open a year after your married... which means you could still receive gifts on your first big holiday as a married couple! HTH!

Registry Question
I would put whatever you want. What you don't receive you can then buy at a discounted rate so either way its a win win!

This!!
Also, whenever I buy something from a registry I like when they have a lot of things because it gives more options of things to buy, especially if most of your friends and family are like mine and will be doing the purchasing last minute it gives them more options to choose from.
