Registry Question: Bedding

I went to macys and they told me it was TOO early to register for bedding as it becomes discontinued pretty frequently. I need to complete this damn registry. Has this happened to any of you? What shold I do wait or just complete it

Just do it. We registered for our bedding last summer and it's still there. Just check your registry once in a while (or everyday ) and make sure it's still there.

Fortunoff told me 6 months or so before the wedding/shower.

You have less than 6 months to your wedding and your shower should be in 3-5 months so definitely sign up for it.

i registered over a year ago for my bedding at macy's and it's still there....i would go ahead and do it.

Well we are teh same day and I can tell you that I registered for pottery barn bedding about a month ago. I liked it and decided I would just go for it. If it is discontinued before my shower then I will pick something else. I say go for it if you find something you like!

I registered for my bedding elsewhere (fortunoff) b/c their turnover rate was much lower than MAcy's (but I do love Macy's registry!)

i think you are good to register for it.. if it gets discontinued i think you get an email notifying you.. or check the registry come 2/3 months before your wedding to make sure it is still available.

Macy's didn't tell me that and I haven't run into any problems! Go ahead and do it!

Nanc...Tim and I wanted to knock our heads against the wall over bedding....after countless trips to Fortunoff, Macys and BB&B......we finally found something we liked and agreed upon soooo we bought it ourselves! It was such a PIA....I didn't want to put it on and then have it discountinued and then have nothing!

If you found something you like you should register for it. Just keep an eye on the registry to make sure it isn't discontinued.

FH and I picked a set that we both loved at BBB. I registered for it. It was discontinued pretty quickly, but I told my mom and my parents bought it for us for Christmas, so we still got it!

yeah they told us to register for our bedding at least 6 months before the wedding...we registered over the summer and did our bedding in feb.

register anyway - you can always put a new set on. I registered for one - it was discontinued, I registerd for a new one - it was being discontinued so I just bought it
