when are u suppose to go registry for stuff? like how many months in advance?

I registered for a few stuff right before our e-party last November.
We'll probably finish registering this Fall.

we didnt have an e party so we are waiting for 2 months before..that way items don't get pulled or discontinued, which tends to happen if you register way early

I finished my registry this past weekend which was a little over 4 months before wedding and about 1 month before my shower.

We had our e-party really quickly (thanks to FMIL ) so we had to register really fast. I keep checking them though to make sure nothing has been discountinued, but I would about 1-2 months before. HTH

I think it depends on what you're registering for... we've already registered and our wedding is in July of next year. We registered for our fine china, everyday dinnerware, kitchen things, etc. We haven't done bedding or anything like that... the stores suggested waiting until about 3-4 months before the wedding for that.
