We are going to register at Macy's and BBB, I know they have a lot of similar stuff but could you ladies help me by telling me what you registered for at each and why?
I am just wondering what I should register at BBB for and why I should register for it there instead of at Macy's and vice versa...

i registered at both of those stores too!!! I ended up putting more on my macys registry because of their perks. Macys gives you 5% of your registry purchases as a store credit after the wedding. They also link your macys charge and give you 10% on all purchases you make on your card until the wedding. I am not sure if they max out at a certain amount but either way it was more then BBB offered.
The things i registered for from BBB were kitchen items (smaller and inexpensive things such as everyday dishes, cooking tools/spoons). The larger items & appliances I did through macys (such as china, food processor, bedding, luggage).

I registered at both of those stores as well. I ended up registering for way more stuff from BBB than Macy's because they had more stuff that we liked. Maybe it was just the Macy's we went to, but their registry section was not very impressive and didn't have a lot of things we wanted. We ended up getting cookie trays and that kind of bakeware from Macy's along with a breadmaker and a couple of serving dishes, but the rest was at BBB.

I registered at both too! I ended up putting way more things on my registry at BBB than Macy's though, I found that oddly enough the same item at BBB was cheaper than at Macy's. I put things like bedding/vacuum and some nicer items on the Macy's one.

We registered at both and at Tiffany's. BBB is good bc you could use the 20% off coupon BUT sometimes the sales at Macy's are much better. I registered for china, pots and other big items in Macy's because of this. Also, it seemed like the things I wanted were always out of stock at BBB. Keep checking for sales and stock and you could switch back and forth--thats what I'm doing.

originally it was just Crate and Barrel and Macys. Then I started seeing the same stuff they had at Macy's cheaper at BB&B, so I moved most of the registry over to BB&B. There is still some items on the Macy's registery but the bulk of it is now on C&B and BB&B
I do like that people are able to use the 20% coupons at BB&B

I will be registering soon and my FMIL said the recent showers she went to they registered at Macy's, BBB and Home Depot. I wouldn't really think of Home Depot but she said they registered for A Snow Blower, Lawn mower, larger tools - stuff you wouldn't normally think of. So those are the 3 places I'll be registering.
