registry questions!

We went last night to register at Macy's and now I have some questions... I am looking at our registry now and I feel like the stuff we registered for is SO EXPENSIVE and I feel like no one is going to buy it! For example, our china and bedding. Have you received these high priced items as gifts?

Also, we registered for bedding but I didn't LOVE it and now I am looking online and finding other things that I love but they're not available in stores anywhere? Do people order things online? Did you register for anything that is only available online?

I personally wasn't crazy about most of the stuff at Macy's so only did a little bit there. I did the majority of my registering at BB&B. Macy's does put the stuff on sale a lot I have noticed, so people could wait for it to go on sale if they think it's too much. A lot of people might go in on a joint gift and get the more expensive stuff too. I do recommend having a wide variety of different priced things though so people can chose.

Be careful with the bedding at Macy's. When we registered there, back in March, we were told that a lof of the bedding becomes discontinued around July, when new stuff comes out. Some of my stuff is no longer available (before it was bought), so I had to go on and put new stuff on there.

And yes, a lot of people I know do order stuff online..not many people like going into the stores, so don't worry!

I registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and my registry has things that range from really cheap to really expensive because I wanted there to be something for everyone's price range. I haven't had my shower yet but I know that my mom bought my china and FH's mom bought out bedding.

I've been registry stalking and a lot of our big items have been purchased (wine fridge, food processor, accent table) and I think we probably had people go in together to get a bigger gift.
