When did things start to really disappear off your registry?

What was the average cost of an item?

we started to have items disappear right after we registered after we got engaged, during the holiday season and then during our engagement party.

we registered for everything from cups to appliances. the prices varied- nothing too pricey though.

Things started disappearing right before my shower. We had a wide range of prices, from $1.99 - 399.99. Most of our items were between $40 and $100.

the week before the shower was when most things went...but it started about 3-4 weeks before...

prices ranged from $3-$300+ and gifts were the same...I had some very generous guests...but also the opposite...my first cousin (who is in her 50's and is very established)...who was also my godmother...together with her 22 year old daughter got me a set of bowls for $20!!!
