registry stalking

registry stalking

I don't want to know when my shower is & I really don't want to know what anyone is buying until my shower.

in other words I really want to be surprised. FH doesn't get it & he just says I have no self control & that's why I am constantly looking at the registries. I have no idea how to keep myself from checking the registry.

is there some type of counseling that I can go for???

hahah i would just check no more than once a week-
because then even if you see things being bought you still wont be sure when it is..

plus if you dont know the time/place it will still be a surprise

I (unfortunately) passed on this tip that I heard to my mom...

I've heard of people 're-creating' the registry but under a different name so that you can't check. Then you send out that registry with the shower invites. It's kinda tedious but maybe if they go to the store, someone would be able to help.

its so bad. I just look at all the stuff & check everything constantly. when we first set it up in April, I was able to use the excuse oh things might be discontinued. but with Christmas coming I know family will be purchasing from there & I really don't want to know.

FH said, he is going to tell my sister to do that. knowing FH, he will & knowing my sister she will take the time out to do it.
