How many months before your wedding did you resgister and where?

my wedding is in February and i did my registries ( Target and Fortunoff) a couple of weeks ago. We chose not to do it too early, because we were afraid theat the things we chose might not be available at the time of the shower.

We got engaged in May, getting married in Feb, and registered in June at Target and Fortuneoff. We just wanted to get it out of the way.

i'm going in january, hmm probably bed bath beyond and fortunoff maybe target! I also heard about this site where people can send things to your honeymoon like drinks and massages i want to do that, its in a bridal book i'll post it tomorrow!

We did it at the 8 month mark, because some people might buy stuff around Christmas. We arent getting married till May. We did Macy's and Crate and Barrel.

i think we'll register about 1 or 2 months before the shower invites go out.....i am def too antsy to register any earlier than that LOL

I don't think its ever so soon but its up to you.
Our family was bothering us right after we got engaged so we immediately registered. That was less than a year before the wedding. We got a few engagement gifts from that registry as well even though we didn't have a party. It just gives people an option.
We've been slow at doing everything else though.

We got engaged in July, and started registering in the beginning of Sept. at Fortunoff and BBB. We are not finished yet and we will probably go to Crate and Barrel too.
Ladies be careful with your Target REgistries. So many people I know used them and had nothing but problems with them. They didn't remove things when they were purchased, gave problems with returns, etc.

I'm still doing my registries. Macy's, BB&B and Crate & Barrel If you do them very early, some things may become discontinued or unavailable, I used to work part-time at C&B and this happened to girls all the time, they'd register a year before their wedding and not understand why their guests couldn't get them anything by the time their shower came along. So if you'd like to do them early that's fine, but just make sure you check on them and update them before your shower invites go out.

we already did one registry but this month we have to do the next 2 bc my MOH wants our registry info by november for my bridal shower. Figure she'll order invites nov-dec
