Regrets

I've been having lots of regrets when it comes to wedding planning.
Yes, I wanna marry my FH more than anything, i love all my vendors, but I don't love all the $$$ I'm spending on them.
I really wish I hadn't gotten so wrapped up in this wedding, because financially I don't know what I'm going to do. We live with my FIL's but I dont know how much longer I can take it.

i'll probably take this down later, I don't want FH to see and he sometimes lurks.

i have been feeling the same way lately. i am as stubborn as an ox & refuse to ask anyone for more money. in the beginning we broke down the vendors & did a lot of shopping to get the best for a good price. but i am feeling the stress of the money lately.

aww try not to let the financials get to you....

I was thinking the same thing over the weekend when I booked my photo/video and dj. I was like OMG, what the eff am I doing? Can I really afford this? Florists, the hall, the limos, the gifts, favors, invites, etc. I was really looking at the facts and current bills and got scared to death. Then, I said to myself, girl, you only do this once! And you want to do it right! My parents have promised to help me but that remains to be seen.

I've decided to cut expenses everywhere I can and I'm actally floored about how much money we waste! We spend a ton on premium cable tv but we watch regular channels. Cut that. We spend a ton on expensive foods, i.e. seafood, certain name brands and eating out. Cut that. We're eating PB & J now!! let's not even talk about the cars and gas we use just hanging out. We're staying in a little more.

You have to make some lifestyle changes and squeeze it all in. But, if you legitimately are in over your head, consider a quick ceremony and a nice honeymoon.

I go through wedding mood swings. At times I think, 'oh it'll be ok. I have 2 jobs which are secure, FH has a good secure job and things will work out.'
Then there are times when I start freaking out like a crazy person!

I totally understand how you feel... I get that way sometimes about my dress especially. I think 'why the heck did i spend so much on a flippin dress!' and then I remember how much I love it...

Money is a scary thing...especially the thought of spending all that money for ONE DAY.

ITA!!! cut costs, try to save where you can...it's hard..but we can do it! i made bf cancel his gym membership...we have a full gym in our building, we bring lunch to work, eat bkfast at home, not as much going out, cut off DVR., etc....its hard but we can do it1

I feel the same way , sometimes i wish i wouldve did my destination wedding, but due to the economy and my family members not able to make it, we decided to have it here. Its really stressful

at this point though, there no turning back on your vendor contracts right? so as much as it s u c k s at least you have less then a year
