Rehearal Dinner .. Latest Update...
Turns out the Irish Coffee Pub does have a room for less than 25 people, but depending on who you talk to, you get a different story. I spoke to Fred and was told their Dublin Court holds 18-25 people. That`s right, 25 is the MAXIMUM. So, we went in and booked them through Brian. We also had dinner while there, and I thought the food was really good .. you definitely get great sized portions! Well, after we got home, I noticed they never wrote on my receipt minimum of 18, so we went back. This time, Brian said it was through an error we had been told the room holds 18, that it really is for 20-30 people, but since Fred is the owner, and he makes the call, we`re in the computer for a minimum of 18. Well, we got him to scribble it down on the receipt, but I guess it just goes to show, sometimes it`s all a matter of who you talk to. The room is so cute, and is exactly what we need, that I`m trying to not let the runaround get to me. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and we get to keep the room private. I certainly know I don`t have to worry about the food, and except for the problems trying to book a room for the size party we need, their service has been great. Brian was very curteous in both meetings, even while telling us how there was a mix-up with how many people the room actually holds. I guess my main complaint with them is still with the girl, Newla .. who had said she`d look into my original request, then never called me back. I had originally said we`d consider paying for the minimum, what she said was 25 plates, regardless of who showed up, just to keep the room private. I am so relieved to know the minimum is not 25! One more thing off the list!! :)

Rehearal Dinner .. We're set, too!
YAY - so glad to hear it worked out for you!!! Looks like we're going to go to my FI's favorite restaurant - ready for this? Outback Steakhouse (gotta have the Bloomin' Onion)! He's so excited about *handling* the RD and I gave up on a private room where it would work for us. We're actually doing a mid-afternoon *dinner* - they open at 3:00 and that's when we're starting, so I hope we'll have the restaurant to ourselves for awhile! We did go to MacArthur Park in RVC, the private room is cute and the price is right, but we just weren't crazy about the menu selections and overall decor... Outback it is! :)

Good choice Kel
I was in the Dublin Court a the Irish Coffee Pub twice during the last year for family birthday celebrations (an 85th and a 90th!!!). The service is excellent and the food is awesome. I don't know what you are having but their potato soup is terrific. You won't be disappointed.

Kel- quick question
Can you let me know what they charge for a rehersal dinner. I have to find a place for next year and am having a large bridal party so I have to try to do the RD on a budget. THanks

On the expensive side...
$26 per plate (full dinner including desert) + tax + 18% service charge, beverages not included. They are definitely one of the more expensive places we looked into, but I believe they have the food and service to help justify the price. If I recall correctly, 56th Fighter Group was around $23. Papa Joe`s was about $14 (desert not included). http://www.irishcoffeepub.com
