What do you do if you are getting married at your hall? I've heard that halls only allow you to rehearse day of the wedding, which poses 2 questions for me:
1. Do I have to see my FH before I walk down the aisle? 2. Is there still a need for a Rehearsal Dinner or Bridal Pary dinner if there is no rehearsal?

Re: Rehearsal
I would check with your hall, but I know my hall let us have a full rehearsal before the wedding. No one wants to be 'forced' to see each other if they don't have to. Plus, if you're getting married at the hall, I doubt that they'd hold any rehearsals day of being that you have a million things to do and they probably have other functions. I was told that they are usually held on off nights, when nothing is going on. Definitely call and check sweetie.
Good luck!

Re: Rehearsal
I have the same concern. We were told that we could possibly have a rehearsal on the wednesday before the wedding. I refuse to see my FH the morning of my wedding to rehearse. I dont like that idea at all.

Thanks ladies. I will definitely call them and see. That's one question I forgot to ask. I just know that some halls I went to said that they rehearsal is day off.

Re: Rehearsal
Our rehearsal is going to be the Wednesday before the wedding. I would have preferred Thursday to accomodate the out-of-town folks, but beggars can't be choosers ;)

Please let me know, I am also getting married at Chateau La Mer, and I was wondering the same thing! Thanks.

Re: Rehearsal
I'm getting married at my hall on a Saturday so obviously the 'typical' Friday night rehearsal is out of the question. I was told that we *might* be able to get in on Thursday but a lot of the GMs are OOT, so... As for how the rehearsal works (and at my hall, it is the day of, about an hour before the ceremony), I was told that the bride doesn't have to do it because all she needs to do is walk down the aisle so you don't have to see FH if you don't want to. The other option is for the bride to do a separate rehearsal I guess. Either way, it sounds really confusing to me and I wish we could have a 'normal' rehearsal like the church people do.

Re: Rehearsal
Thanks ladies. I guess it really depends on hall then. For the CLM girls, I'll definitely find out and let you know.
Thanks!

Re: Rehearsal
CLM will let you have one on the Thursday night before. It may be another night if Thursday was busy.

Okay, Thanks! Maybe I can get them to do a Friday if there is no wedding. I have OOTers in the Bridal Party.

Re: Rehearsal
We are getting married on a Sat. (same hall for ceromony/reception). Our rehersal in the Thurs. before. They were very flexible.
