Of all the weddings i've been in or gone to, I don't think i've once been to the RH prior to the wedding.
Is it wrong to just have a dinner and not rehearse, I don't know if I could even get into the RH if I wanted to????

Re: Rehearsal
I've never been to a rehearsal dinner where there was no rehearsal prior, but if you'd like a celebratory dinner I see nothing wrong with it.

Re: Rehearsal
FH was in a wedding and went to the rehersal dinner. Basicly everyone who is in the bp went to the church, did a practice run of where everyone was going to walk and stand and the such. Then we all went to dinner where the bride and groom made the reservation. Here they also gave out the bp gifts. Its just for those who are actually in the bp and if you allow, they can bring their bf/gf, spouse or parents (if its a kid like a fg). HTH

Re: Rehearsal
We are doing a rehearsal dinner, without a rehearsal.
My RH does not hold a rehearsal until the day of - about an hour before the wedding. But, I'm still having a RD the night before, nothing wrong with it!
FH's family is in NJ, and they are all coming in the day before anyways (to avoid LI traffic day of), so even though we won't actually have a rehearsal the night before, I still think it's nice to get everybody together once before the wedding - and we'll hand out all our BP gifts then as well.

I am also doing a rehearsal dinner without a rehearsal. Some of our guests are coming from different states and it will give them a chance to meet other people and something to do the night before since they will be there anyway.

I actually just sent out my 'no rehearsal' rehearsal dinner invitations last week. I am only doing immediate family and bridal party (and their significant others), but I think it is important to get everyone together the day before so that everyone can get to know each other and celebrate without all the other people around. I am so excited.

That's what I figured, we'll probably do a rehearsal a little before the actual wedding also.
