I'm a little nervous that I won't be able to hold my rehearsal the night before my noon wedding since they will most likely be having a function that night (I'm having ceremony there too..Villa Lombardi's). All of my groomsmen are about 5 hours away and I feel that I may be asking too much to have them come by Thursday to rehearse, especially since some of them have wives/children and that would mean that they would probably have to take Thursday and Friday off from work to make a Thursday evening rehearsal. What are you doing? Any suggestions.
Help.
Are any of you not rehearsing?

Rehearsal dilema...
I would say have it a week before, that is what we did, but you have people coming from out of town. My sister also got married at her reception site, and she didnt have a rehearsal, she just had the dinner part.

I'm in the same situation. We are doing the rehearsal dinner the night before. I know it may mean some people will have to take off, but most of them were going to take off either way.I would discuss it w/ you bridal party, see who can and can't make it, then make your decision. You may be surprised to find out most of them don't mind. Good luck!
Continued success to all...

Are they really necessary?
We're having ours 2 days prior,
but it's just an excuse to see
each other and hang out! I have
been in 4 weddings before and
the rehersal part is so unnecessary.
Even for the people who have never
been in one, it's not brain surgery!
Do what's better for you and your
bridal party. Lisa

Do reception halls even let you have a rehearsal there? I know that sometimes they`ll let you do a quick prep right before the ceremony just so everyone knows where to stand but not usually before the wedding day. You can do without it. I definitely recommend a 'rehearsal dinner' though, that`s a lot of fun and when we gave out the gifts to the wedding party and thanked everyone.
